Domestic high-end CNC machine tools have achieved remarkable results

At present, my country has made remarkable achievements in independent innovation of high-end CNC machine tools, and the industrialization process of independent innovation achievements has accelerated. China has been the world's largest machine tool consumer for 11 consecutive years, among which metal processing machine tool consumption accounts for 45% of the global market. Statistics show that the output value of 28 major machine tool producing countries and regions in the world was US$93.2 billion in 2012, of which China accounted for about 30%, ranking first.

In the research and development of heavy and ultra-heavy CNC machine tools, a number of high-end CNC machine tools that have reached international advanced levels, such as heavy gantry five-axis linkage compound machine tools and ultra-heavy CNC horizontal boring and lathes, have been successfully developed to meet the key processing needs of super-large parts in key areas such as aerospace, power generation equipment, and automobiles; high-speed precision CNC lathes, machining centers and other products are widely used in multiple industries such as automobiles, aerospace, electronics, and military industries, and have driven the equipment renewal and transformation and industrial upgrading of many small and medium-sized enterprises.

The press products of Jinan No. 2 Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. have entered General Motors in the United States and are praised by foreign customers as one of the "three largest stamping equipment manufacturers in the world"; the gantry boring and milling products of Beijing No. 1 Machine Tool Plant have been exported to South Korea; the heavy machine tool products of Wuhan Heavy Machine Tool Co., Ltd. have been exported to the United Kingdom, Japan, France, South Korea, etc.

Despite this, there are still some problems that restrict the development of my country's CNC machine tools. Wu Bolin said that the continuous growth of imports of machine tool parts in recent years shows that domestic machine tool parts cannot meet the requirements of the host industry. Although the domestic market share of domestic machine tools has increased significantly, the domestic market share of high-end economical CNC machine tools and core functional components is still very low. Foreign companies account for about 85% of the market share of my country's high-end machine tools.

"The situation that most of my country's CNC machine tools rely on imports has not changed." Wu Bolin said that although there are some products that domestic enterprises can produce at present, the product manufacturing capacity is limited. The use of imported CNC systems and functional components leads to high product prices and lack of competitiveness. Compared with the higher level of development of the whole machine, my country's CNC systems and key functional components are lagging behind. If these deep-seated technical problems are not solved, the cost and price of domestic CNC machine tools will not go down, and the accuracy, reliability and technological advancement of the products will not go up.

In this regard, the key tasks of CNC machine tool enterprises are to accelerate the transformation of economic development mode, vigorously implement technological innovation, promote product structure adjustment, avoid blindly expanding the production of low-end and ordinary products, accelerate the pace of upgrading and replacing economic CNC machine tools, and focus on developing medium and high-end CNC machine tools and production lines.

Enterprises should speed up the research and development speed and master the core technologies of several high-end CNC systems and key functional components. To improve the level of industrialization, enterprises should not only form a sufficiently advanced production level, but also have a certain batch manufacturing capacity.
